You can go through the previous years question for your preparation. Some of the books are Media: A Comprehensive Directory of Media and advertising Resources. Mass Communication in India by Keval J. Kumar.

Keep yourself aware of current happening watch television as much as you can and give at least an hour to newpaper. Practice writing on any current topic regularly.
