i am doing my electrical engineering (b.tech) as my ug course .....can i persue my m.tech in aerospace engineering .if so can i know ,which are the subjects that i want to concentrate to compete in a entrance exam

yes you can do but you have to write gate exam for aerospace engineering then

i think you cannot do mtech in aerospace emgineering after btech in electrical engineering .. you can do mtech also related to electrical engineering

you can persue but aerospace engginering is different than the courses for electrical enggineering.

for Mtech (aero), u have to clear GATE entrance exam and seek admission to colleges in various universities in india, based on ur merit.
regarding becoming an astronaut,::::---

Height must be 5 ft 4 in (1.6 m) to 6 ft 4 in (1.9 m).
Mission Specialist::::::::-------------
Bachelor's degree in engineering, biological science, physical science or mathematics, as well as at least three years of related professional experience.
Applicant's height must be 5 ft 2 in (1.6 m) to 6 ft 4 in (1.57 to 1.93 m).

I think u can not so..bcoz in mtech u have to continue any one subject of your branch in depth.

Eligibility: 10 + 2 Science; high percentage of marks in Science subjects and qualifying exam (JEE)
To be an aeronautical engineer one should be a BE/B.Tech. in aeronautics. The Madras Institute of Technology offers a year postgraduate programme in aeronautical engineering for B.Sc. students. One can also study for M.Tech. and Ph.D. in aeronautics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Those who have passed the Associate membership exam conducted by ASI (Aeronautical Society of India), which is at par with a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, can also become aeronautical engineers. It is possible to take a degree in electronics or physics to work in this field and leave more options open

i think you are not eligible for this .......
because you are from electrical background ...
so do your stream subject in mtech ....
its only for aeronautical background....
and some mechanical and production branches...

yes there is no any problem you can do the m.tech in the aerospace engineering.there is no matter that your back ground is of the electrical.
so only concentrate on the gate exam and your own subjects.

Yes definately you are eligible to do M.tech in aerospace engineering after btech in electrical engineering. But for this you have to appear in the GATE entrance exams
after clear the GATE exams, you will get admission in aerospace engineering. But
you have to scored good marks in GATE exams to get a seat in aerospace
engineering. So please concentrate in your study..........

but you have to give the exams of the gate ,

you can do mtech in aerospace engg by giving gate exam in aerospace engg but it will not be helpful to you. Mtech means masters degree. How will you become master of of aerospace when you are not known about the basics of it. You must do mtech with electrical engg. In which you are good.

The Age - limits are 21-30 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination.
some good colleges are:
1.iit bombay
2.iit delhi
3.iit madras

yes ofcourse you can do m.tech in aerospace engineering after b.tech in electrical engineering.for that you have to appear for GATE exam and have to score really good marks to get into some good college.but it wont be very for you since you will be changing your department.it will be benificial for you if you do it from your own b.tech branch.

You can do your M.Tech in a field related to Aerospace Engineering but not pure Aerospace Engineering. I suggest you to specialize in Avionics, this is the subject which needs strong background of Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. Here you will be designing all the electrical and communication equipment in an airplane.
There are good job opportunities in this so called specialization of Avionics.
You should concentrate on subjects like Control Systems, Radio Systems, Communication and Navigation Systems etc.

you can apply in indian airforce. they prefer to take b-tech candidates because they have technical knowledge so they can understand things easily. other than this you can take admission in some flying branch/ school where they will teach you how to fly and after an year you will get a commercial pilot licensce. the later suggestion is a bit expensive so you just think about it.

Only student pursued there UG in mechanical or aerospace(not avail in India) can do M.tech aerospace.As u r doing EEE Power engg will be a gud choice for u to pursu ur PG.
