Physical chemistry is the study of macroscopic, atomic, subatomic, and particulate phenomena in chemical systems in terms of physical laws and concepts. It applies the principles, practices and concepts of physics such as motion, energy, force, time, thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, statistical mechanics and dynamics. The Physical chemistry deals with the Reaction kinetics and it effect on the reaction rate, intermolecular forces which has its impact on tensile strength, surface tension and plasticity etc, electrical conductivity, electrochemistry and surface chemistry etc. In Kuvempu University Applied Chemistry-Physical Chemistry paper you will find 3 parts. First part contains very short answer questions of 2 marks and 11 such must be answered. Second and third part has long questions. In part B question’s weighatge are 8 marks and in part C question’s weighatge are 13 marks. In both the sections candidates will have to answer 3 questions.
