I dont think there is any upcoming vacancy for IT officer post till june 2010.

Corporation Bank has 80 Probationary Officers vacancy,last date for applying is April 8th 2010.

Bank of Baroda has 1200 Probationary Officers vacancy,last date for applying is April10th 2010.

Syndicate Bank has 426 Specialist Officers vacancy,last date for applying is 10th April.

United India Insurance has 200 Admin Officers vacancy,last date for applying is April 19th 2010.

here my dear friend you have not mentioned what exactly is your qualification.
but in banks there is just requirement of graduates and in some, IT officers or in some MBA students are required.
well as far as i see there is no such vaccancies comming your way soon as it will take a min of 3-4 months for the banks to reveiw thier vaccancies for the year 2010-2011. i wish you luck and check the news papers as you may hit some vaccant posts ..

Before answering to your questions i want to let you know few important facts about banks esp. in India

• In banks, the only post for IT Engineer as in IT field is IT Manager/Asst. IT Manager
• All the banks/ branchs will not have IT managers, only regional or head offices will have such managers
• Concluding the above facts the job as IT professional in banks are seldom available.

In Banks, there will be very less jobs for IT Engineers but as a graduate you can write bank exams for other bank posts.

If you are so much interested to work in banks as a "IT Manager", which is the only post available but less frequent in banks,
then you will have to actively look for the advertisements from banks for the same.

There are no specific exams for the post of IT manager in banks.
You will have to attend the interview at the advised branch of the bank.

It depends there are some banks which asks for some experience whereas others do not they only asks for applying to the apllication and conduct exam and final selection made on that basis only.

(A) Essential Academic Qualifications for PO Jobs in Bank 2011 : Graduation in any

discipline from a recognised College / University.

(B) Bank PO Exam Age Limit (As on 01.05.2011) : Not below 21 years and not above 30

years as on 01.05.2011 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than

02.05.1981 and not later than 01.05.1990 (both days inclusive)

Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates

Upper age is relaxable by

(i) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.

(ii) 5 years in the case of :

(a) SC / ST candidates.

(b) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service

Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the ‘CREAMY LAYER’, are not

entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation. They should indicate their category

as ‘GEN’ or ‘GEN (OH)’ or ‘GEN (VH)’ (as applicable).
