Sir, i am Akhil and i am in the 9th and wish to join the navy in the future. i wanted to know about the qualification , percentage, physical fitness needed for joining the NDA . i want to know about the institutes offering training.

It's nice to see you, now you are in 9th class only but your aim is to join as Navy officer.

After 12th standard you are eligible to join as navy officer, UPSC conducting this NDA(National Defence Academy) exam two times in a year.


Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete 12th standard from any recognised board.

Percentage is not required to apply this exam.

For navy and airforce wings you need to complete 12th standard with PCM subjects.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible for NDA exam.

You must be a citizen of india and must be physically fit.


The age limits--> 16.5years to 19 years.


Selection process:-

-->Written test,

-->SSB interview,

-->Medical test.

If you want to join Indian Navy than after passing class 12th, You can apply for the NDA exams.

NDA exams are conducted by UPSC

Below is the Eligibilty to apply for the NDA exams:

Educational Qualifications:

Army Wing-12th Pass in any stream
Navy & Airforce Wing- 12th Pass with Subject Physics and Maths as subjects.


AGE-
Minimum age 16.5 years
Maximum age- 19 years

NDA(National Defence Academy)is conducted two times every year i.e
NDA-I and NDA-II.This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).


NDA has three wings:
Indian army,
Indian airforce,
Indian navy.

Educational Qualifications :
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age criteria:
Age limits is 16 1/2 years to 19 years.
There is no relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

Nationality:Citizen of india.

Important note:
Girls are not eligible for this exam, only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
You must be physically fit.

Selection procedure:
Written test,
SSB interview,
Medical test.
