1.power electronics and drives is among the most popular branches and is being offered in almost all the top institutes like the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGIES
2.Power systems
3.electrical machines which mainly deals with the motors and generators and various other electrical machines
the above mentioned subjects are among the most popular areas of specialization in the electrical engineering branches .
