Course structure and duration of MS(Marine and Offshore Technology) in University of Stavanger?

MS(Marine and offshore Technology) is a 2 year course in University of Stavanger. Each year is divided into 2 semesters. Therefore total 4 Semesters are there in this 2 year course.

COURSE STRUCTURE:

Compulsory Courses:-

Semester 1
Fluid Dynamics, Pipeline and Risers, Risk Analysis and Risk Management, Probability and Statistics 2

Semester 2
Mechanics of Solids, Operations and Maintenance Management, Marine Technology and Design

Semester 3
Master thesis Marine and Offshore Technology, Sub-sea Technology, Marine Operations.

Elective courses (choose one):

Semester 2 - Plastic Analysis of Structures, Offshore Materials Technology, Computational Fluid Dynamics

Semester 3 - Life Extension of Structures, Finite Element Methods-Advanced Course, Finite Element Methods-Advanced Course Part 1, Offshore Field Development.
