As per the wide range of reports, the overall percentage required for a Canada study visa is around 60 to 65% in 12th standard. However, you can apply with a lower percentage, it totally depends on the visa officer whether he/she accept your visa or not.

You need at least a band 6 on the IELTS to be eligible for an Australian study visa. An applicant for an Australian study visa who wishes to enroll in an undergraduate course requires an aggregate IELTS score of at least 6.0 and at least 5.5 in each of the four required bands.

Hence, if you satisfy the criteria listed above, you are eligible for an Australian student visa.

The eligibility for a student visa to study in Australia or any other country depends on several factors, including academic requirements, language proficiency, financial capability, and meeting the specific visa requirements set by the immigration authorities of the respective country. While academic performance is an important consideration, it is not the sole determinant for visa approval.

Having 54 percent in your 12th class may not meet the minimum academic requirements for some universities or courses in Australia. Most universities have their own admission criteria, and they typically require a higher academic performance for admission into their programs.

However, it's important to note that each university and program may have different entry requirements, and some institutions may offer alternative pathways or foundation programs for students who do not meet the minimum academic requirements. These programs can help students improve their academic skills and meet the entry criteria for higher education.

Additionally, meeting the academic requirements alone is not sufficient for obtaining a student visa. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction, usually English, by providing test scores such as IELTS or TOEFL.

Financial capability is another crucial aspect for obtaining a student visa. You will need to show evidence of sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs associated with studying abroad.
