What is the CGPA criteria required for applying for courses like MS and Ph.D from USA?

Hi, I

am studying in IIT Roorkee, B.Tech. Second Year in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. (I have just completed my 1st year.) My CGPA is 8.33. After B.Tech. I want to go for M.S., Ph.D. in USA. How should I prepare for GRE and TOEFL from right now? How much CGPA shoud I maintain? Should I join classroom program or correspondence course? Which coaching institute will you recommend? Please help.

You can do Ph.D course in USA but you should qualify in GRE and TOEFL entrance exam. Ph.D course in USA doesn't require any percentage marks.

GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination.

There are no specific eligibility criteria for GRE Test. This examination is open for all candidates who are willing to pursue higher degree in abroad.

TOEFL stands for Test Of English as a Foreign Language.

There is no any eligibility criteria.

TOEFL exam is used to test the ability of a candidate in Reading, writing, Listening and Speaking sections of English language.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
