Havildar (Draftsman) - Assam Rifles
Over several years of its existence, the Assam Rifles had acquired the role of being mere police to a multi-dimensional profile. Some of the important duties of Assam Rifles are guarding the Indo-China and Indo-Myanmar border, counter insurgency operations and to offer aid to civil authorities in the case of necessity.
Recruitment by Assam Rifles:
Recruitment rally in the cities of Dimapur and Guwahati in the states of Nagaland and Assam respectively from the 14th of September 2011 onwards is planned to be conducted by Assam Rifles for recruitment of male candidates belonging to different states for the position of Havildar (Draftsman)

Eligibility Requirement:
Educational Qualification: To apply to the position of Havildar (Draftsman), candidates must have completed their matriculation or equivalent diploma in the trade of draftsman from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates with three years experience.

Age: Candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 23 years of age as on the 1st of August 2011. The higher age limit is relaxable up to five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC Candidates.
Cost of Application:
The cost of Application is Rs.50 (only for general category candidates) should be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Directorate General, Assam Rifles payable at SBI DGAR, Shillong.
