Indo Tibetan Border Police Force was incorporated in the year 1962 as an Indian Armed Force. Mr. Ranjit Sinha is the Director General of the force. The force is responsible for the security for the border of India with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The force is mainly trained in the disaster management, chemical disasters etc. The foru major function of the force are checking illegal immigration, providing security to sensitive installations, preserving any area in the event of disturbance and promoting the sense of security among people. The force was restructured in the year 1978.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (only Indian Citizens) for filling up the vacant posts of Head Constable (Dresser Veterinary) in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. Vacancies of Head Constable comes under Group ‘C’ Non Gazetted, non ministerial posts. Candidates are required to ensure their eligibility in advance before applying for the respective posts in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Head Constable is 18 years as on 31 January 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Head Constable is 25 years as on 31 January 2012.

Upper age limit is relaxable for the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes etc. Upper age limit is relaxable for the SC/ST categories candidates by 5 years while OBC categories will get relaxation of 3 years. Ex-Serviceman candidates will also get relaxation of few years as per the rules of Government of India.

Interested candidates are also required to meet the Physical Standard set for the post i.e.

Height & Chest: 170 cms and 80 cms (unexpanded) or 85 cms (expanded).
Weight: Should be proportionate to height and age.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification set for the post of Head Constable is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates should also have passed Veterinary Stock Assistant Course from a recognized institute. Candidates having qualification less than the above specified one, will not be considered eligible for the post of Head Constable.

Pay Scale: The prescribed amount of salary under Pay Band-I i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400, will be given to the selected candidates.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to submit the prescribed amount of application fee i.e. Rs. 50 for applying for the post of Head COnstable in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. All interested candiates are required to pay this application fee. The fee should be paid in the form of a Central Recruitment Fee Stamp or IPO or Bank Draft. The demand draft should be made in favour of Inspector General (Special) Frontier, ITBP payable at SBI, IMA, Dehradun, Code No. 0739.

How to apply: Application form in the prescribed format should be filled in with correct and complete details only. Candidates are required to send the completely filled in application form alongwith the copies of other required enclosures in an envelope only.
