Indo Tibetan Border Police Force has its headquarter located in New Delhi. Mr. Ranjit Sinha is the present Director General of the force. This Indian force was formed in the year 1962 as one of the Central Armed Police Forces. The main objective of the force is to provide security along the order of India with Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The force was restructured in the year 1978 with few additional responsibilities and tasks. The force is trained for chemical disasters, nuclear diasters etc and disaster management. This multi dimensional force has primarily four important functions to perform.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible male Indian Citizens for filling up the vacant positions of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) under Group ‘C’ categories in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. Candidates will be recruited purely on contractual basis only. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. Selected candidates will be governed by the act and Rules of Indo Tibetan Border Police Force.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) is 19 years is 24 February 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) is 25 years is 24 February 2012.

Upper age limit for the specified post of Head Constable is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST categories candidates. Candidates falling under OBC category will get relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit. Government Servants may also get relaxation in the upper age limit.

Physical Standards and Medical Standards:

Minimum Height for candidates: 170 cms with corelated weight.
Chest: Unexpanded - 80 cms and Expanded - 85 cms.
Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision: 6/6 and 6/9 without correction.

Educational Qualification:

Matriculation or 10th standard is the minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for applying for the post of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. Besides this, candidates should also possess a certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution or ITI with minimum 3 years practical exprience in the relevant trade. Those candidates, who possess 3 years Diploma in Automobile Engineering, are also eligible to apply for the specified post.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Candidates are required to pay the prescribed amount of application fee i.e. Rs. 50 which is totally non refundable. Only General and OBC candidates should pay this application fee as SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment. The payment must be done in the form of a Central Recruitment Fee Stamp or Indian Postal Order or Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Inspector General Northern Frontier, ITBP payable at SBI, IMA Dehradun, Code No. 0739.
