North Eastern Railway (NER) established on 1952 was re-organized in 2002. Initially, it consisted of two Railway Zones, but now it consists of three Divisions. NER was the first one to launch the computerized passenger reservation system. NER owns the pride of on 1986. It provides NER provides excellent facilities like recorded coach guidance display system, interactive voice responsive system, reservation availability position information display, and electronic display systems at stations. It provides its service in the regions of Uttarkhand, Uttar Pradesh and western districts of Bihar.

Applications are called from military-retired people for Helper II/Mali/Peon (RDSO/Lucknow) by North Eastern Railway.

Eligibility:

Age criteria - The age criteria for the post as on 01.01.2011 must be as follows:

For UR candidates, the age must be 33 yrs + extent of military service + 3 yrs. For SC/ST candidates, the age must be 38 yrs + extent of military service + 3 yrs. For OBC candidates, the age must be 36 yrs + extent of military service + 3 yrs.

Qualification - Ex-Serviceman who has retired after 15 years of service can apply for the post. The candidates must have passed Army class-1 certificate or equivalent.

Selection Process:

Selection for the post is based on merit, experience and verification of original documents. Neither physical efficiency test written test will be conducted. Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria will only be called for original document verification.
