Indian Oil Academic Scholarships
Indian Oil Academic Scholarships is a social contribution activity organized by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. 10+/ITI students as well as students pursuing professional courses like B.Tech, MBBS and MBA are benefitted out of this. Selection of suitable candidates is done on the marks obtained in qualifying exam and gross joint income of the candidate’s family.
Who all are benefitted out of Indian Oil Academic Scholarships?
- 10+/ITI Students –2000 scholarships each academic year
- Engineering Students–300 scholarships each academic year
- MBBS Students–200 scholarships each academic year
- MBA Students–100 scholarships each academic year
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Oil Academic Scholarships
Those having completed matriculation with a minimum of 65% marks can apply for 10+/ITI scholarship. Distribution of scholarship is made state wise according to the number of students appeared for 10th Standard during the current academic year. Scholarship amount offered is Rs. 1000/- per month.
Distribution of scholarships to professional courses like B.Tech/B.E, MBBS and MBA are done zone wise on the basis of the number of students appeared for the qualifying exam. Pass in 12th is the qualification required for B.Tech/B.E and MBBS courses where as graduation is the qualification required for MBA degree. Required qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 65% marks. Scholarship amount offered for all of these professional courses amounts to Rs. 3000/- per month.
Reserved category candidates and students with physical disabilities are offered with relaxation in marks (in the qualifying examination). SC/ST/OBC/Girls need to score a minimum of 60% marks where as students with physical disabilities should score at least 50% marks only.
Required qualification degree must be obtained from any of the recognized University / Colleges / Institutions/ Education Boards, as the case may be. Only those students who have confirmed their admission to first year of 10+/ITI, B.Tech/B.E, MBBS or MBA are eligible. Such students should be pursuing the course through regular study mode rather than distance/correspondence mode.
Minimum age required for the applicant is 15 years. Upper age limit specified is 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is offered for appropriate candidates. OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years) and persons with disabilities (10 years) can enjoy relaxation in upper age limit.
Other than the eligibility requirements mentioned here, Gross Joint income of the family of the candidate is also taken in to consideration. Gross Joint income should not exceed Rs. 1, 00,000/- per annum. Preference will be given for students with gross joint income Rs. 60,000/- or less.
Selection of suitable candidates is done on the priority order of marks obtained in qualifying exam and Gross Joint income of the family. 50% of the scholarships are reserved for candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC category. 20% of the scholarships are reserved for female candidates and 10% for persons with disabilities.
