JNTU, B.tech In Computer Science and Engineering Digital Logic Design Papers
The paper on Digital Logic Design is there in the first semester of second year of the degree in B.tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. The paper is coded as 53024.The subject deals with a detailed study of topics like Boolean algebra, logic gates, gate level minimization etc.
Paper pattern:
There are four sets of question paper that makes sure that, students gets a different set of question paper with varied questions which ensures that no incorrect means of obtaining marks is involved in this subject. Every question paper has eight questions and one is supposed to choose five out of these eight questions according to the ease of answering. Each question has further division in terms of sub parts and a student has to attempt both the parts of a particular question. All the questions have equal marks and each question is of 16 marks.
Maximum marks and time allotted:
The marks allotted in the Digital Logic Design Papers is 80 marks as there are five questions each of 16 marks and a student has to finish the paper in the given time limit of 3 hours.
Frequently asked questions:
The commonly encountered questions in the Digital Logic Design Papers are one from Boolean algebra, concepts of logic gates like basic theorems, logical operations, product of sum simplifications, Hardware description language etc. Some of the questions that are frequently encountered are conversion of code from gray to binary, drawing of the logic diagram, design of sequential circuits, usage of NOR gate, simplification of Boolean functions etc. Other questions include finding the complement of Boolean expressions, listing of PLA programming table, implementation procedure for the SR latch using NOR gate.
