Competition Commission of India (CCI) was established on 14th October 2003 under the Competition Act, 2002.  CCI has one Chairperson and 6 Members appointed by the Central Government. It is responsible to protect the interests of consumers and ensure freedom of trade in the markets of India, as well as to promote and sustain competition in the market.

P ay Scale – Director - Rs.37400 - 67000 + Grade Pay Rs. 8900, Joint Director - Rs.37400 - 67000 + Grade Pay Rs. 8700, Deputy Director - Rs.15600 - 39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600, Office Manager - Rs.9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay Rs.5400.

Eligibility:

Age criteria:  Between 40 and 45 yrs (For Director and Joint Diretcor), 33 yrs (Deputy Director), 28 yrs (Office Manager).
