Profile:

Institute of Forest Genetics & Tree Breeding was established in the year 1988 under the Indian Council of Forestry Research. The institute was actually established as a national institute with the aim of carrying out research to improve productivity of forest tree species. The improvment of the productivity of forest tree species through conventional breeding programmes and some other intervention.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Junior Research Fellow and Field Assistants in Institute of Forest Genetics & Tree Breeding.

Eligibility:

Candidates should not be more than 28 years of age as on 1 June 2010.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree with atleast 60% marks in aggregate is required for the post of Junior Research Fellow while Bachelor’s degree with atleast 60% marks in aggregate is required for the post of Field Assistant.

No. of posts:

Junior Research Fellow: Only 5 posts are available.
Field Assistants: Only 5 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Junior Research Fellow: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16000 per month.
Field Assistants: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16000 per month..

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to face a personal interview session with the selection comittee for getting selected on the specified posts.

How to apply: The application must arrive on time on the specified date of interview i.e from 5 October 2010 to 7 October 2010.
