Sir Padampat Singhania University came into existence in the year 2008 and it is a private university operating from the city of Udaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The university is located in a suburban campus spread over 101.6 acres of land. The institution actually came into existence in the year 2007 as Sir Padampat Singhania School of Engineering and during this year, first group of students was admitted for the B. Tech courses. In the year 2008, the institution earned the status of university through the Sir Padampat Singhania University Act 2008 by the legislative assembly of the state of Rajasthan. According to this act, the university is empowered to award degrees according to Section 22 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.

Sir Padampat Singhania University is offering education through two schools namely school of Engineering and School of Management and through these schools different UG, PG and Ph. D courses are offered by the university. School of engineering has department pertaining to mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics & communication engineering, computer science & engineering and biotechnology under its control.
