The Food Corporation of India (FCI) came into existence in the year 1964. FCI works under the Food Corporation Act 1964. The primary objectives of FCI are to provide effective price support operations for protecting the farmers, to distribute food grains throughout the country, and to ensure National Food Security.
Job Profile:
Food Corporation of India (FCI) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Management Trainees in various disciplines (Depot, General, Accounts, and Movement) for its North, South, West and North East zones.
No. of posts: North zone - 300; South zone - 59; West zone - 115; North East zone - 115.
Pay Scale – Stipend of Rs. 8500 per month. After successful completion of training, the salary will be Rs. 8600-250-14600.
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The upper age limit is 28 yrs.
Qualification – The candidates must have post graduate degree or post graduate diploma in relevant disciplines. For complete details of the education qualification required for each post, refer the website http://www.specialtest.in/fci/.
Selection Process:
The selection of the post is through written test, Group discussion and Interview.

Interested eligible candidates must apply online through the website http://www.specialtest.in/fci/ from 15.01.2011 to 14.02.2011 for East and North East zones, and from 22.01.2011 to 21.02.2011 for North, West and South zones. Application Fee:
Demand draft of Rs. 300 must be drawn in favor of Food Corporation of India, payable at Noida for North zone, Chennai for South zone, Kolkata for East zone, Mumbai for West zone and Guwahati for North East zone. No fee for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
Application fee is Rs. 750 for General and OBC candidates, and is Rs. 500 for SC/ ST candidates.
