National Law University has given the best example of being a famous multidisciplinary judicial institute of India. The successful students of this university play a vital role in the enhancement of the country and also contribute their major part in different social problems of India. This has come as a new scope for those students who have interest in various legal studies and settle their mind to do further studies in this field. More over it has assumed to be the very first institution which offers undergraduate degrees in Law. For the better development of this university it has started to pacts with various abroad universities for the exchange of faculties and students. For having such a quality standard campus, it acclaims as a renounced judicial university of India.
National Law University started to contribute its participation in the development of the society from very short period of time and within this period it has come as dominating part in the field of law. By the Jodhpur Act in 1999, the National Law University was begun and mainly contributing its part from the year 2001. It is also amongst those universities which admit students mainly on the basis of Common Law Admission test. With its infrastructural view, it is sprawling over 50 acres of space with full modern accommodations for its students. That is also a big reason for its popularity, as most of the candidates have shown major attention towards this most aspired university. NLU is the 12th national university related to field of Law.
National Law University features more advanced skills in its studies and also got full backup from the young students. As it acquires larger space of Jodhpur, it has got all the major transportation facilities for its students. For each course, it has a total of 100 seats for its integrated programs like B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons) & B.A. LL.B. (Hons). From the total seats, it admits 78 general candidates for each course.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applying aspirants must have completed their higher secondary exams from a well renowned university of India with above 455 marks. For the candidates who are currently pursuing their 12th exams can also eligible for the entrance test. Also the aspiring candidates must be under 20 years of age (22 years for reserved categories) before 1st July, 2011.
Availability of Application forms:
Since the admission to NLU is through CLAT candidates need to apply for CLAT. Candidates can get the form of CLAT through designated branches of Indian Bank, State bank of India and all participating National Law Schools. Candidates can also download the form through the website www.clat.ac.in One can also get the forms of CLAT through the CLAT office by post by sending a demand draft along with the request for form.
Important Dates for CLAT:
Date of Entrance Examination: 2nd week of May, 2011
Availability of Application Forms: mid of 2nd week of January, 2011
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: 1st week of April, 2011

Rajasthan candidates seats: 50 seats
All India seats: 50 seats
Examination Pattern of CLAT:
CLAT paper will be of 2 hours containing 200 multiple choice questions from the following sections:
English including Comprehension: 40 questions
General Knowledge/Current Affairs: 50 questions
Elementary Mathematics: 20 questions
Legal Aptitude: 45 questions
Logical Reasoning: 45 questions
