Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank came into existence in the year 2005 on the 12th of September by the Government of India by amalgamating four RRBs. The bank is being sponsored by the Government of Karnataka, Syndicate Bank and the Government of India.

Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank has invited applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Officer JMG Scale I and the details regarding the notification issued by the bank for the same are given below:

Name of the Vacancy: Officer JMG Scale I (Post Code -03 – Group A)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies 94, which is divided among the different categories as follows:

• SC - 29

• OBC – 31 (26+05 backlog vacancies)

• General – 40

• ST – 09 (07+02 backlog vacancies)

Out of the total 94 posts, 03 posts are reserved for PWD candidates.

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Officer JMG Scale I will come under the pay brand of 14500 – 600 /7 – 18700 – 700 /2 – 20100 -800 / 7 -25700

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: Candidates must be degree holders in any discipline with proficiency in Kannada (write, read and speak) Language. Candidates with computer skills will be given preference. The preferable areas of degrees are Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy

Age Requirement: Age requirement for the position of Officer JMG Scale I is between 18 and 28. Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in written test followed by interview. The written test is fixed to be conducted on 06th of November 2011. Application fee:

Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.300, which is inclusive of postal charges and SC/ST candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.50, which is postal charges alone. Fee can be paid either through any Syndicate Bank branch through appropriate challan that can be downloaded from the website of the Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank or it can also be made through NEFT from any other bank to the Account No. 12053170000050, which belongs to Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank.

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements, will have to apply online through the website of the bank at www.kvgbank.com between 30th of August and 23rd of September 2011. Once application is made online, the system generated print out should be kept by the candidates for future reference and no other means of application will be accepted.
