Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is Asia’s first institute to offer courses related to space science, technology and applications. It is India’s national level institute dedicated for the study of space science, located at Trivandrum, Kerala. It offers graduate, post graduate and doctoral level courses in space science. The institute is promoted by Indian Space Research Organization.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers under graduate programmes in various disciplines. The institute provides admission to candidates from all over the world to its Under Graduate programmes. It provides admission to a batch of 150 students per year. Admission to undergraduate programmes is based on the scores obtained in the screening test and interview conducted by the institute.
Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is conducted for admission to the Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) / Master of Law (LL.M.) programs. There are two versions of LSAT. National Talent Search Examination is conducted by the National Council of Education Research, and Training (NCERT) to identify talented students of class VIII and Class X and provide them with scholarship for higher studies. Selection process is made through two tier screening examinations. First exam is conducted by respective states and Union territories known as State Level Talent Search Examination. Candidates who have obtained 60% marks in State Level Talent Search Examination are eligible to attend National Talent Search Exam. Candidates are not required to pay any fees for these tests.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering is offered by most of the polytechnic and engineering institutes in West Bengal. The duration of the course is normally three years. Pass in Madhyamik/ higher secondary with Mathematics, English and Science as compulsory subjects from West Bengal Board of Higher secondary examination is the basic eligibility requirement for applying to the diploma programme.
