Municipal Corporation of Delhi was established as an autonomous body that governs almost nine districts of Delhi. It is one of the three municipal corporations in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The other two municipal corporations are New Delhi Municipal Council and Delhi Cantonment Board. The municipal corporation came into existence on April 7, 1958 with an aread of around 1397.3 square kilometer. The major objective of the corporation is to provide civic services to the people residing in the city. The corporation comes under the New Delhi Municipal Council. Selection of candidates to the medical stream of defense services is carried out through a written exam followed by a personality test. There will be two papers for the Combined Medical Defense Written Exam. Total marks for this selection test is 500, among which 250 marks is distributed among both the papers. Questions on General Ability, General Medicine, and Pediatrics are covered under paper I where as questions on Surgery, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine are covered under Paper II.
