Bhabha Atomic Research Centre was established in the year 1954 as a primary nuclear research facility of the country. The centre is located at Mumbai. The centre was initially started as the Atomic Energy Establishment Trombay. The centre later emerged as the primary nuclear research centre after taking over the charge of most nuclear scientists of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. The centre got its present name after the Homi J. Bhabha in the year 1966. Tarapur Atomic Power Plant was the first power reacter installed in the country. Central Industrial Security Force was founded on March 10, 1969 under the Government of India. The security force actually came into existence under an act of Parliament. The headquarter of the force is located at New Delhi. The force comes under the control or supervision of the federal Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The force was started initially with a mere strength of just 2800 individuals but later on the strength of the force kept on increasing. Because of an Act of Parliament, the force was made as an armed force of the Union of India.
