Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, affiliated to Anna University offers B.E/B.Tech courses in streams like Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Information Technology, and Industrial Biotechnology. The college offers M.E courses in disciplines of Thermal Engineering, Power Electronics & Drives, VLSI Design, etc. Admissions are made through entrance exams such as IIT JEE, TNEA, GATE, or TANCET. Admission to Ph.D courses are done on the basis of NET/SLET or Anna University conducted entrance exam.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued notification for Common Written Examination (CWE) for the profile Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee. CWE is conducted for the recruitment of eligible candidates to any one of the participating banks. Graduation from any of the recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks is the basic qualification required. Applicants need to have operating and working knowledge in computers. Questions on Computer Knowledge, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning are asked for the written test.

Bajiraoji Karanjekar College of Pharmacy (BKC Pharmacy) offers admission to courses of B.Pharm and D.Phram. HSC passed candidates with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology can apply. Diploma holders in Pharmacy from the state of Maharashtra are also eligible to apply. Admission to the course is made through entrance test like Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). UPSC often conducts Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) Examination for the recruitment of apprentices to the mechanical department of Indian railways. Suitable candidates are selected through the process of written test and interview. Written test comprise questions from topics of English Language, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Question paper will be of intermediate (HSC level) standard.
IBPS has issued notification for the Common Written Examination (CWE) for ‘Probationary Officer’ 2013. Graduates with a minimum of 60% marks can apply till 12th August 2013. Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of IBPS. Application fee for SC/ST/PWD candidates is Rs. 100/- and that for others is Rs. 600/-. Fee payment can be done via offline or online method. Online fee payment can be done through master/visa debit or credit or internet banking method. Fee payment through offline method can be done using the fee challan downloaded from IBPS portal.
