North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology is one among the well known technical institutes of the nation. The institute offers many degrees, diploma and certificate courses. Every year the college conducts entrance examinations known as NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) for admitting students to each branches. The students need to clear this test in order to get admission in the institution. The examinations are divided into three categories, NEE 1 for certificate courses, NEE 2 for diploma courses and NEE 3 for degree courses. The eligibility will also vary depending on the type of course.
Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research is one among the reputed medical institutions of the nation. Every year they conduct medical entrance exams in order to admit new batch of students. Students who get through the test are eligible to study in the college. After clearing the test, the students will go through a final round interview and then finally a counseling process. The exam will be objective type with multiple choice answers. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy has its headquarter located at Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. The academy was established on September 15, 1948 as a government agency. mr. Rajeev Kumar Mathur is the present Director General for the academy. Government of India is the parent organization for the academy. The academy has an academic staff of total 427 personnel. The academy is mainly responsible for training Indian Police Services officer before their join their jobs. The institute was named after former Indian Deputy Prime Minitser, Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The major objective of the depot is to provide storage facility for the ammunition and explosives to the Indian military and other forces.
