The Union Territory of Delhi is divided into nine district and each of these district is headed by a Deputy Commissioner. West Delhi is an administrative district in the NCT of Delhi and it is bounded by the Jhajjar District of the state of Haryana to the West, South West Delhi to the south, central Delhi and North Delhi to the east and North West Delhi to the north. The district is spread over an area of 129 km2 and its population is nearly 14000 people per km2. Administratively, West Delhi is divided into three subdivisions, namely Pujabi Bagh, Rajouri Garden and Patel Nagar and some of the major commercial areas like Tilak Nagar and Janakpuri are situated in this district.
