Systematic Bacteriology is the study of Bacteria which is a main host for lots of diseases and their origin is directly associated with the bacteria. The topic is very vast and study in this field is very much required in the field of Microbiology.
Paper Pattern followed very often
Paper of Systematic Bacteriology consists of 12 questions in it and the questions are asked in 2 different sections. Section A is of 2 essay type questions and these questions are compulsory to be attempted, these are very long answer type questions. Section B is of 10 descriptive questions, each of same value and 6 from it are needed to be solved. If diagram is required in a question, students should provide it.
Questions which are common in exams
Questions in the paper of Systematic Bacteriology consists of questions such as Serodiagnosis of brucella, discussion on bacterial genital ulcerative diseases in details, Helicobacter pylori infection, causative agents of meningitis, Nonvenereal treponemes, Melioidosis, Francisella tularensis, Vancomycin resistant entero cocci, Vectorborne bacterial disease, Inclusion conjunctivitis etc.
Time and marks allotted for the paper
Total marks which can be scored in the paper are 100 and time in which it is to be obtained is 3 hours only. This is a pure descriptive type paper, so there is no chance to score full marks in it.
