Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications from eligible candidates for Sub Inspector posts in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assistant Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CRPF). Graduation is the essential qualification required for all these posts. Applications can be submitted online/offline through the official portal of SSC, before 12th April 2013.
Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology (ASIET) offers B.Tech courses in specific streams like Mechanical, CSE, Electronics and Communication, IT and Electrical & Electronics engineering. Post graduates courses such as MBA, M.Tech in CSE, M.Tech in Power Electronics & Power Systems, and M.Tech in VLSI and Embedded Systems are also offered through the institute. An entrance examination is organized by Kashmir University as part of the selection process for M.A (History) course. Bachelor of architecture graduates can find opportunities in eminent organizations like RITES, ISRO, SBI and UTIITSL. They can apply for Graduate Executive Trainee position in RITES and can get selected on clearing written exam and interview. Other major public sector jobs include clerk post in SBI, Inspector (Architect) post in BSF, Executive Engineer in UTIITSL etc. Private sector companies like Edifice Architects Pvt. Ltd, Unitech Limited and VSA Space Design (P) Ltd recruits B.Arch graduates to technical positions.
TKM College of Engineering offers B.Tech degree in subjects like chemical engineering, production engineering or civil engineering. PG courses like M.Tech in Industrial Instrumentation and Control, MCA and MBA (part time) are offered through this institute. Admission to these courses is done as per the decision of selection committee constituted by government of Kerala. Tuition fee for B.Tech is Rs. Rs. 4000/- per year and that for M.Tech is Rs. 3500/- per year.

Staff Selection Commission is conducting a written test for recruiting candidates to the job position of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police/ CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. This will be typically an objective type test comprising two main papers. Paper 1 includes questions from sections like General reasoning and Intelligence, GK, Quantitative aptitude and English Comprehension. Paper II comprises of questions on English Language and Comprehension. Qualified candidates in written test should undergo a physical endurance test (PET) and interview.
