Saifia Hamidia College began its journey in the year 1962 and the college was established by the Unani Tibbi Education Society of Burhanpur. The college was given this name in honor of two world-known personalities being Late Dr. Taher Saifudding Saheb, who was the spiritual head Priest of Dawoodi Bohra Sect and the other person is Padma Shri and Late Padma Bhushan Alhaj Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, who was the founder trustee of the Hamdard National Foundation.

Eligibility for admission:

The minimum educational qualification required for seeking admission to the BUMS, DMLT, OT Technician and BPT courses offered by the Saifia Hamidia Unani Medical College is that candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCB subjects or its equivalent or higher examination. For the certificate courses, candidates must have completed their 10+2 examination with Urdu up to high school level.
