Salt Christian College of Teacher Education is one of the popular institutes in north eastern part of our country. The college came into existence in the year 1995. The college is affiliated to the Nagaland University.
The college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, as well as the State Board of Teachers Education, Kohima. The primary objective of the college is to accomplish excellent training in the field of education. The college offers Bachelor of Education Programme from the year 1995, and primary teachers training course from the year 2006.
Courses offered:
The Salt Christian College of Teacher Education offers the undergraduate course – B. Ed (Bachelor of Education). The duration of the course is one year. The college also offers primary teachers training course.
Eligibility criteria for getting admission:
The local candidates who have passed graduation with an aggregate of 45% and non-local candidates, who have passed graduation with an aggregate of 50% marks, are eligible to apply for the B. Ed course in the college. The admission for the B. Ed course in the college is made based on the marks obtained in the graduate degree examination, as well as written test & interview conducted by the college.

The college offers excellent infrastructural facilities such as library, science laboratory, computer laboratory, and instructional facilities. The classrooms of the college are well-equipped and furnished with modern teaching aids.
