Scientist & Junior Engineer, UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research
(UGC-DAE CSR) is an auton¬omous institution and its headquarters are at Indore with other centres at Mumbai and Kolkata. This Consortium also has a Node at IGCAR, Kalpakkam. The UGC-DAE CSR is responsible for carrying out research and development work in areas like Dhruva reactor, Variable Energy Cyclotron, INDUS-I etc. established by the Department of Atomic Energy. The centres also have many advanced experimental research facilities.
Job profile: The scientists and junior engineers will be required to carry out research and development work in the field of physics like material science, nanostructures, condensed matter physics etc. They will also be required to manage certain activities of their departments and prepare project reports.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years for scientist – ‘D’ and 30 years for junior engineer.
Educational Qualifications: For scientist – A candidate must have a degree in M.Sc physics with an experience of 5 years in the relevant field.
For junior engineer – A candidate must have a diploma in mechanical/electronics/electrical engineering or B.Sc in physics with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university.
No. of posts: There are5 posts in total that include 2 posts for scientists and 3 for junior engineers.
Pay scale: The scientists will be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs6600 and junior engineers will be given a scale of Rs9300-34800 plus a grade pay of Rs4200. The scientist/junior engineers will also be given other usual allowances as per the rules.
Selection process: The candidates will be called for an interview.
How to apply: The candidates are required to apply as per the format given on the website. They will have to send a DD of Rs50 drawn in the favor of UGC-DAE CSR payable at Indore. The candidates are required to write the name of the post of the envelope. They will be required to send the applications along with the copies of their certificates to Administrative Officer-II, UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, University Campus, Khandwa Road, Indore – 452001
