Employees’ State Insurance Corporation was formed by the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 under Government of India. The scheme was inaugurated on February 24, 1952 by then Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Dr. C. L. Katial was the first Director General of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. The scheme was simultaneoulsy launched in the state of Delhi. The corporation was started with the aim of providing health insuarnce scheme for factory workers. The coproration has emerged as a self financing social security scheme in recent times.

Job Profile:

Employees State Insurance Corporation is inviting applications from eligible and qualified Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant posts of Senior Rseidents in Employees State Insurance Hospital. The posts of Senior Residents are available in the speciliaties of Dermatology, Surgery, Casuality, Orthopedics, Gynae & Obst., Radiology, Pediatrics, Anaesthesia and Medicine. Candidates will be recruited purely on contract basis for a period of one year. However, it is extendable for another period of one year which is subject to maximum of three years.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit. Candidates having age more than the prescribed maximum age limit will not be considered eligible for applying for posts of Senior Residents in Employees State Insurance Hospital. The maximum age limit set for the posts of Senior Residents is 35 years as on 13 March 2012. However, the relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of India. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years while OBC candidates will get relaxation of only 3 years.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification required for the posts of Senior Residents in Employees State Insurance Hospital is Post Graduate degree or Diploma in concerned disciplines or speciality from a recognized institute or university (registered with Delhi Medical Council or Medical Council of india or State Medical Council). Candidates possessing minimum 2 years experience after MBBS degree are also eligible to apply for the specified posts of Senior Residents.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary as per the recommendations of the Sixth CPC as adopted in ESI Corporation or Hospitals.

No application fee is need to be paid or submitted by the candidates for applying for the posts of Senior Residents in Employees State Insurance Hospital.

Selection Process:

Interested as well as eligible candidates will have to face the Walk-In-Interview test with the Selection Committee that will be held on 13 March 2012 at 10 AM. Only successfull candidates of this Walk-In-interview will be considered at the time of making final selections.
