Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Northern Region was established by the Government of India for making recruitment on the Group C (non technical) and Group B (non gazetted) posts in its various departments. The Staff Selection Commission is located at New Delhi and some other states of the country. The sub regional offices of the commission are located at Chandigarh and Raipur. The commission is headed by a Chairman, a Secretary cum Controller of Examinations and two other members. The headquarter of the commission is located at Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Northern Region invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for making appointments on the positions of Tourist Information Officer, Educational Assistant, Junior Technical Assistant, Sound Technician, Investigator (Economic Investigation), Library and Information Assistant, Junior Investigator and Production Assistant. Selected candidates will get posted in various Ministeries/Offices of the Government of India.

Interested candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 50 only. No fee is to be submitted by SC/ST/PH and Ex-Serviceman candidates. The application fee must be submitted by the means of aCentral Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only. The CRFS stamps are available at the head post office spreaded all over the country.
