The Uttarakhand Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination is one of the accepted medical entrance examinations in the country for the post graduate aspirants in the medical field. The examination is controlled by the Uttarrakhand Technical University, a representing body of the state Government in the field of Higher education. The UPGMEE score is mandatory for the P G students to get admission into the Medical colleges under the state Government and hence a large number of students are taking this exam every year.

Structure and Syllabus of UPGMEE

The Examination consist of two papers with 150 questions each carrying 600 marks. The question pattern is MCQ with four different options. There will be a dedication of one mark for the incorrect response and for marks will be given for the correct selection. The paper one include the questions from the pre and para-clinical topics with 120 minutes and clinical subjects is the second paper with two hours duration.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who completed their MBBS program in the Government quota from the medical colleges under the state are eligible for taking the examination. They must complete their compulsory internship as per the MCI norms from the recognized hospital in the country. The resident of Uttarakhand who purse their MBBS program from other state through All India Medical Examination can also take the UPGMEE. There is an upper age limit of 40 for the applicants.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can apply for the examination through three different modes. One can submit the application through online by using the official website of the technical university. The applicant can download the form from the site. There will be designated centers from which the aspirants can purchase the OMR sheet with the required amount payment. The cost of the form is Rs.5040/-.

How to fill the Form?

The detailed information about the filling of the form is there in the instruction manual obtained along with the application form. They have to fill the form with their own handwritings and do not provide any false information. Any error in the application form will ban the applicant from the admission process. The entrant must paste their attested photograph in the place suggested for affixing the photo. Attach the needed document along with the filled form and send it to the submission address before the final date.

Cutoff

The technical university put the minimum mark requirement for the candidates to qualify the post graduate admission process. The candidates belongs to common category must secure least 50% marks in the UPGMEE and the special group need to score 40% in the entrance examination. Score Validity

The score of the UPGMEE is valid for one academic year and the technical university conducts the test in each year to fill the post graduate seats of the affiliated medical colleges.
