Dhanaji Nana Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1961 and it is a grant-in-aid institution permanently affiliated to North Maharashtra University. The University Grants Commission has recognized the college under section 2 (f) during the year 1994 and under section 12B from the year 1997.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Bachelor of Arts and commerce Courses, candidates must have completed their higher secondary education from the Maharashtra state board or any other approved university or board with English as a subject. Candidates with diploma in education with English and candidates who have completed their diploma from the Maharashtra board of technical education can also apply for arts courses. For science courses, they must have studied English along with any three subjects out of geography, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics.
