National Institute of Jewellery Design and Technology is considered as amongst the most reputed Institutes that provide the various professional Jewellery courses to the aspiring candidates to build their professional career in the field of jewellery design. Institute is promoted by Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd- Government of Delhi.

NIJDT, an Institute promoted by DSIIDC having excellent infrastructure and training facility, invites application for admissions to any of these professional jewellery design courses. This institute provides all sorts of facility to the candidates that are going to be the part of these courses. The institute is having excellence faculties for the respective courses offered by the NIJDT.

There are very few institutes in India which provide these types of courses. The institute is providing various modern and technical instruments that are required to get the better knowledge about the courses. The college also helps the candidates for organizing various programs based on the courses that they are pursuing and also gathering knowledge’s from these programs.

The institute has built up for the aspiring candidates and also for the development of the society. Candidates are having all sorts of study materials, notes and extra stuffs from the faculties and the library facility that are available for the candidates. The selection criteria for the candidates are they have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the institute.

1. Diploma courses:

• Advance jewellery design with CAD

2. Certificate course:

• Basic jewellery design
• Diamond identification and Grading
• Colored Gemstone Identification
• Computer aided Design for Gems and Jewellery

Important Dates:

• Scheduled dates for commencement of course:

1. Gemmolgy: mid of April, beginning of 3rd week of May, first week of July, beginning of September, mid of October, mid week of November, 2011 (6 months).
2. Advance Jewellery Design with CAD: beginning of June, 1st week of August, and 1st week of November, 20101(6 months).
3. Jewellery Manufacturing: beginning of September, 2011 (1 year).
4. Basic Jewellery Design: 1st week of June, mid of 1st week of August, 1st week of November, 2011(2 months).
5. Diamond identification and Grading: mid week of April, 1st week of September, and mid of October, 2011 (2 and half months).
6. Coloured Gemstone Identification: mid of May, starting of July, beginning of 3rd week of November, 2011 (3 and a half months).
7. Computer Aided Design for Gems and Jewellery: 1st week of August, 1st week of November, 2011(1 and half months).
