Ursuline Women’s Teachers’ Training College got affiliation from the Ranchi University from the year 1971 and the college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education and National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It is a Christian Minority institution established and run by the Ranchi Ursuline Society.

Course details:

Ursuline Women’s Teachers’ Training College is offering Bachelor of Education course as is understood from the name of the college. The college is permitted to admit 100 students per year by the National Council of Technical Education. The course includes theoretical and practical subjects and the theoretical subjects offered by the college are educational reconstruction in India & Abroad, school administration and health education, education psychology & educational measurement and theory of education. The practical teaching course includes craft-tailoring practical training.

Eligibility Criteria:

For seeking admission to the Bachelor of Education course offered by Ursuline Women’s Teachers’ Training, candidates must have completed their UG or PG degree from a recognized university and they must have secured not less than 50% of marks in their degree or PG course.

Interested candidate can get the application form from the office of the college and duly filled in forms along with required documents must be submitted to the college before the last date prescribed by the college and the college does not encourage late submission of forms. Candidates can also download the application form from the website of the college.

Admission Procedure:

Once the admission forms are submitted by the candidates, eligible candidates will be called for entrance test, which will be conducted for one-and-half hours duration. The date of entrance examination, time of examination and syllabus of the examination can be known from the admit card issued by the college. After completion of written test, the list of successful candidates will be published in the notice board of the college and these candidates will be called for interview. Candidates should come with the original mark sheet and documents of the qualifying examination at the time of interview.

Library at the college:

The library at Ursuline Women’s Teachers’ Training College has a seating capacity of 100 students and it has a reading room that extends to an area of 94.71 square meters. The library has a collection of six titles of books pertaining to teacher education with a collection of more than 10,000 books, 370 encyclopedias and 19 journals.
