Computer applications are one of the papers in this diploma course of one year in Computer application in office management or DCOM papers. Computer application forms an integral part of the course and is termed or rather coded as DCOM04 paper, being one of the five papers. It deals with the nuances of computer applications and forms the backbone of this course.

Paper pattern:

The computer applications paper coded DCOM04 is a There are a set of subjective questions and one has an option to choose from the given set of questions. Each question carries 14 marks and because of the equal marks distribution one can attempt the questions that one is comfortable with. One needs to attempt five questions out of the seven questions given. Since there is an equal assignment of marks one needs to give equal time to answering them .This paper basically deals with the basic concepts of applications in computer like handling various software related applications. One has to obtain a minimum of 36% marks to pass in the examination. It has a credit of 6.

Maximum time allotted and maximum marks:

The maximum time allotted for attempting the Computer applications paper is 3 hours and the maximum marks one can score is 70 marks. There are a total of 5 questions that needs to be answered so one can distribute the time equally as the marks are also equally divided in these questions. It also has a 30 marks practical paper to it.
