Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The authority performs all its operations or functions under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The authority has its head office located at Delhi. The authority can be considered as a single reference point for all matters realted to food safety and standards. The main idea behind the establishment of this authority was to regulate the manufacturing, distribution and sales for ensuring the availabilitty of safe food.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following posts of Finance & Accounts Officer, Senior Private Secretary, Assistant (Headquarters/ Laboratories), Account Assistant (Laboratories), Private Secretary and Librarian in Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. Candidates will be recruited purely on deputation basis including Short Term Contract or Contract (Outsourced).

1. Recruitment of Finance & Accounts Officer/ Admin. and Account Officer (Zones):
No. of posts: Only 7 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should be officers from Central or State Government etc holding analogous or equivalent post on regular basis. Candidates should have five year regular service experiencein Pay Band II.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4800.

2. Recruitment of Senior Private Secretary:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should be officers from Central or State Government etc holding analogous or equivalent post on regular basis. Candidates should have five year regular service experiencein Pay Band II.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Assistants (Headquarters/ Laboratories):
No. of posts: Only 10 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should be officers from Central or State Government etc holding analogous or equivalent post on regular basis. Candidates should have five year regular service experiencein Pay Band II.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

4. Recruitment of Account Assistant (Laboratories):
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should be officers from Central or State Government etc holding analogous or equivalent post on regular basis. Candidates should have five year regular service experiencein Pay Band II.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

5. Recruitment of Private Secretary (Headquarters/ Zone/ Laboratory/Personal Assistant):
No. of posts: Only 25 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should be officers from Central or State Government etc holding analogous or equivalent post on regular basis. Candidates should have five year regular service experiencein Pay Band II.

6. Recruitment of Librarian:
