Naval Dockyard, Mumbai has invited applications from ITI qualified candidates for apprenticeship. The vacancy is available in trades like Machinist, Electroplater, Pipe Fitter, and Shipwright Wood. Preliminary selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in 10th class and ITI. Further selection process include written test, medical, and interview. Applications for attending the recruitment process should be submitted through ordinary post till October 15, 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for Apprentice Recruitment in Naval Dockyard, Mumbai

Those having completed ITI course in relevant trade from a recognized institute are eligible to apply. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 65% marks. Such candidates should have completed matriculation with at least 50% marks. Aspirant should have born between 1st April 2000 and 1st April 1993. Relaxation of five years in upper age limit is given for SC/ST candidates. Those candidates who have completed any of the apprenticeship training programs under apprentices’ act -1961 in any of the government/ public/private industrial organization are not eligible to apply. Apart from this, applicants must satisfy minimum physical standards.

  • Chest Expansion – 5 cms
  • Eye Sight – 6/6 to 6/9
  • Height – 150cm
  • Weight – 45kg

Ears must be free of wax and internal and external organs must be normal.

Procedure for Apprentice Recruitment in Naval Dockyard, Mumbai

Primary selection of eligible candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in 10th class and ITI. Candidates selected through preliminary selection process will be called for attending a written test. Those who qualify this written test is moved to the next stage of selection process, medical/interview. A certain percentage of seats are kept reserved for SC/ST, OBC, physically handicapped, and persons from armed forces.

Applications for attending the recruitment process should be submitted through ordinary post. Format of the application form can be collected from the job notification. Duplicate of the duly filled application form, SSC mark sheet, ITI mark sheet, community mark sheet, etc must be submitted along with the application. Last date to submit applications is October 15, 2013.
