Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science was established in the year 1994 and the association was named after the great poet of Kerala, Mahakavi Kumaran Asan. The college was inaugurated by Honorable Vice President of India in 1994 Shri K.R.Narayanan. This is indeed the youngest college in Chennai having got the accreditation by NAAAC and the college is affiliated to University of Madras.

Apart from the huge infrastructure, the college has well equipped laboratories, canteen and training kitchen for students who are studying Hotel and Catering Management. Asan Memorial College of Arts & Science has separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus. College bus transports students from all parts of Chennai.

Admission Procedure:

The prospectus and the application form can be downloaded from the website of the college. Filled in application forms can be sent by Post or submitted in person to the college. Admission is strictly by merit of marks obtained in the previous class. The students need not appear for any entrance test for getting admission. This college does not entertain any donation or capitation fees.

Eligibility Criteria

For getting admission in any UG course, a pass in higher secondary exam by any recognized Board is sufficient. Similarly for getting admission in any PG course, the student must have obtained pass mark in the respective field of study.

This college provides a Degree in Hotel and Catering Management and a pass in higher secondary examination is enough for getting admission.

Placement:

Leading star hotels like Taj group, Oberoi, Park Sheraton select students who have completed B.Sc. in Hotel and Catering Management from on-campus interview.
