Central Council For Research In Ayurveda And Siddha (CCRAS) came into existence as an autonomous body of the Department of Ayurveda, oga and naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. The council functions under the control of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The council is determined to formulate, coordinate and develop the research in the field of Ayurveda and Siddha medicine. The council was incorporated in the year 1978 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI OF 1860. The headquarter of the council is located at Janakpuri, New Delhi. AYUSH is the parent organization of the council.

Job Profile:

Central Council For Research in Ayurveda and Siddha is recruiting eligible and experienced individuals or candidates on the positions of Assistant Director (Pharmacy), Research Officer (Botany) and Research Officer (Bio-Chemistry). Candidates should meet with all the eligibility criterias for applying on the specified positions.

1. Recruitment of Assistant Director:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 45 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Pharmacy from a recognized university with atleast 5 years of experience in research or training. Candidates having post graduate degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university are also eligible for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

2. Recruitment of Research officer (Botany):
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Botany from a recognized university with atleast 3 years of experience in research or training. Candidates having post graduate degree in Botany from a recognized university are also eligible for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

3. Recruitment of Research officer (Bio-Chemistry):
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years as on 1 January 2011.
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in concernced discipline from a recognized university with atleast 3 years of experience in research or training. Candidates having post graduate degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university are also eligible for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

Application fee of prescribed amount is need to be submitted by the eligible as well as interested candiates. The amount of application fee is Rs. 100 for General and OBC categories candidates. Rs. 20 is the amount of application fee for SC/ST categories candidates. The application fee must be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director General, CCRAS payable at New Delhi. Physically handicapped candidates and Women candidates are not required to pay any kind of application fee.

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates will be called for the personal interview on specified date. Candidate’s selection on the desired position depends on his/her peformance in the personal intrview test against Selection Committee.
