Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute is an autonomous Institute of Government of Karnataka which invites all the aspiring candidates for filling up of post offered by the Institute. Institute has conducted walk in interview for admission into this institute for the required post. The institute is one of the reputed and well known medical institutes.

The institute is popularly known as BMC. In the beginning the institute was ran by the Mysore Medical Education society but now it is run under the Government of Karnataka. It is an autonomous institute under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Jayanagar, and Bangalore. The institute offers undergraduate and post graduate medical courses with world class teaching facility.

The institute is established on K.R. Road, near to city market. It has world class infrastructure with the state of art Auditorium, Administrative Block, Conference hall.  The faculty members are highly qualified and having great teaching experiences. It has state of art library having digital facility. The laboratory of the institute is well equipped with the latest medical equipments. The class rooms are fully air-conditioned and have the latest technology based equipments.

The institute has not provided the residential facility for its students in the campus. It has established boys hostel near Central College, Bangalore and the girls’ hostel is established inside the Vane Vilas Hospital grounds. It has also provided the transport facility to them.
