MAH MPH CET is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of Maharashtra for the intake of eligible candidates to Master of Pharmacy course. Those who have completed their undergraduate course in pharmacy can appear for this exam. Candidates can expect multiple choice questions from the areas they have studied during their undergraduate course. They can apply for the exam after obtaining the application form from the official website of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).

Eligibility Requirements

Aspirant who is applying for MAH MPH CET should be an Indian citizen. They should also complete Bachelor degree or its equivalent in Pharmacy from any institution recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). General candidates require a minimum of 50% marks for the qualifying examination where as SC/ST candidates (from Maharashtra State only) require a minimum of 45% marks for the same. Candidates who have appeared for the relevant qualifying examination and waiting for the results can also apply for this entrance test. But they can seek admission only if they produce original mark list of the concerned examination at the time of counselling.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

A total of 100 questions will be asked MAH MPH CET. Four options will be given as answers for each question from which candidates can select the right one. There is no negative marking. They should mark their answers on Optical Response Sheet (ORS) provided. Maximum time allotted to complete all the hundred questions is three hours. The syllabus of the exam includes following subjects:

  • Pharmaceutics
  • Pharmacology
  • Pharmacognosy
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Application Process

Applicants can procure the Information Brochure from the specified Form Receipt Center after paying an amount of Rs. 250/- in cash. Then they should visit the official website of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai and fill the application form online according to the instructions given in the brochure. After filling the form, take a print out of it.

Applicants should check thoroughly if there are any mistakes before taking the print out. They should send that print out to the concerned authority in Directorate of Technical Education along with the necessary documents specified on brochure. Application form should be accompanied with a demand draft of Rs. 1, 200/- (Rs. 1, 000/- for SC/ST candidates) taken in the name of “Joint Director, Technical Education, Aurangabad, Maharashtra”, payable at Aurangabad.
