Farook College was established in the year 1948 as a first grade college and the college is affiliated to Calicut University. The college enjoys the pride of being the developed co-education Muslim minority college in the southern part of India.

Admission Procedure:
Farook College admits students on the basis of rules specified by Calicut University from time to time. In the total number of seats available for each course, 40% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination, 20% is reserved for community quota and 20% is reserved for schedule caste/schedule tribe candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
For B.A courses and B. Com, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in any stream and for B. Sc courses candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream. For BBA, candidates must have obtained 50% of marks in their higher secondary course. For masters degree courses, candidates must be degree holder in respective discipline.
