Sir I am nethaji kh. I have been passed iti exam. I am interested to apply civil police called by ksp. On that they have mentioned educational qualification PUC or equivalent. Sir my question is ITI is equivalent to Puc or note .

ITI courses are treated similarly to PUC courses in some Indian states, but not all. In certain states, the two-year term at the industrial training institute will be deemed comparable to the 12th grade if candidates from the selected trades pass the examinations in two language disciplines.

PUC certificate is obtained on passing the 2nd PUC (class 12th ) public examination which is commonly known as class 12th board exam in India ,in general

Some states treat ITI course as equivalent to PUC while others not.
The HRD Ministry decided to make 2 year ITI equivalent to 12th HSC .
ITI is vocational certificate course and not a diploma.

In some Indian states, but not all, ITI courses are treated equally to PUC courses. If candidates from the chosen trades complete the exams in two language disciplines, the two-year period at the industrial training institute will be considered equivalent to the 12th grade in several states.

In denying states the two year course at the industrial training institute will be considered as an equivalent to 12th if the candidates from the identified trades further clear the examinations in two language subjects.
