Re: Is it possible for diploma holders to apply for IIT entrance examination?
IITs don't offer admission through lateral entry procedure, therefore, you can't get admission in IITs for your B.Tech degree if you are a Diploma in Engineering holder. If you want to get admission in IIT then there is no procedure for that at present time for Diploma holders.
Diploma holders can get admission in B.Tech only through LEET and that also in those colleges which take lateral entry admission. There is only one way you can get admission in IIT and that is after completion of B.Tech by cracking GATE with a excellent score. GATE will allow you to get admission IITs for M.Tech program. |

Re: Is it possible for diploma holders to apply for IIT entrance examination?
No, Diploma holders are not eligible to appear in JEE examination. Only candidates who have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board and those who have qualified JEE Advanced examination are eligible to get admission in IITs. If you are interested to pursue B.Tech course after completion of your three years Diploma course, then, you can appear in LEET or ECET examination and by qualifying LEET or ECET examination, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get direct admission in second year of four years B.Tech course.

Re: Is it possible for diploma holders to apply for IIT entrance examination?
1.I am sorry to say but you cannot apply for IIT exam with diploma background.
2.Because For applying IIT exam one should have the basic knowledge about the maths, physics and chemistry subjects. 3.Wherever Diploma will not offer all these subjects as it is specifically based on the group you choose. 4.So Diploma students are no eligible for applying for IIT course. 5.But you can do your graduation course one the best universities in India. 6.After completing your graduation course then your can apply for post graduation in IIT through the GATE exam. Hope this information is helpful to you................ |

Re: Is it possible for diploma holders to apply for IIT entrance examination?
Diploma students are not eligible for iit entrance exam. The candidates who completed there secondary education in physics, chemistry and maths.
After completion of intermediate candidates have to apply for the iiit examination.it has 2 parts 1.iit mains 2. Iit advanced exam candidates qualified in mains are eligible for advanced. Advanced passed students are selected to study in iit. Diploma students have opportunity to study in iit after completion of BE They have to give gate examination if they are qualified in GATE They are selected for iit. All the best |

Re: Is it possible for diploma holders to apply for IIT entrance examination?
No,you cannot apply for the IIT entrance exam after diploma.
Because candidate applying for JEE MAINS/JEE ADVANCED should have done his 12th or equivalent with subjects MPC(Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry). As diploma course do not involve all these subjects diploma candidates are not eligible for IIT. But diploma students can do their graduation course in the recognized universities in their state. So apply for the entrance test conducted by the State Education board and qualify in that test. |
