I am a diploma holder woman (telecom and electronics) and at present working as Tech. Asst. in Aprivat Eng. College. I want to know about the jobs available in banking industry for diploma students?

As far as my knowledge is concerned, Diploma holders are not at all eligible to get job in Banking Industry. Earlier, the minimum educational qualification required is "12th Class" from a recognized university. But later, the eligibility criteria required has been changed by IBPS. The recent eligibility criteria is given as follows,

>> The minimum educational qualification required is "Graduate Degree" or Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

>> There is no certain minimum percentage is required in order to be eligible. The minimum PASS in Graduation is required in order to be eligible.

>> As you are a Diploma holder, I suggest you to do B.E/ B.Tech in Electronics and Telecom Engineering to be eligible for getting job in Banking Industry.

>> If you become a Graduate, you can apply for the following posts.
* Clerical Cadre (Office Assistant)
* Probationary Officer (PO)
* Specialist Officer (SO) posts

No you are not eligible to apply for Bank Exams with your Qualification. Since Diploma is almost equivalent to 10+2/ But if you want to apply for Bank exams you need to have graduation. Otherwise you are not eligible to apply or Bank exams.

More over for Bank exams you must fulfills the eligibility criteria for respective cadre of exam. And Based on the criteria only you will get a chance to apply for it

<> You should have completed graduation with minimum percentage of marks from the recognized university.

<> Age should be in between 20 to 28 years and there is a Age relaxation as pe government norms.

<> Final year candidates of graduation can also eligible to apply for Bank Exams.
