Hello Sir/Madam, I want to apply in DBT Junior Research Fellowship this year. I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for me to apply for this fellowship. Kindly tell me about the eligibility criteria immediately. Waiting for your response!

Eligibility to apply for DBT Junior Research Fellowship 2020:-

> Qualification:
M.Sc/ M.Tech./ M.V.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ B.E./ B.Tech. in any discipline of biotechnology, M.Sc/ M.Tech bioinformatics / computational biology, students admitted under DBT supported post graduate teaching programs. M.Sc. Life science/ Bioscience/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology.

> Age limit: upto 28 years as on the last date of application for general and EWS category. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is given to reserved categories.

Fellowship Name:-DBT Junior Research Fellowship 2020

Duration of Fellowship:-3 Years (Extension of fellowship for two more years based upon your performance. Performance evaluation will be done for 2 years)

Eligibility Criteria:-

1. Candidates who have completed their qualifying degree in M.Sc/M.Tech/M.V.Sc degree with Biotechnology as the main subject.

or

B. Tech / B.E in Biotechnology (4-year course after 10+2) recognized by UGC/AICTE is eligible for this exam.

2. Minimum 60% and above for the (GENERAL/OBC) category for qualifying degree. And a minimum of 55% and above for SC/ST/PH candidates.

Age Limit:-28 years for open category. (Relaxation for reserved category as per govt. of India rules)

Eligibility to apply for DBT Junior Research Fellowship 2020:-

Cut off date to determine upper age limit is last date of registration. The upper age limit for General and EWS category is 28 years. There is relaxation in age for SC / ST/ PWD and women candidates for up to 5 years that is maximum age 33 years of age. Also for non creamy layer OBC candidates, the relaxation is up to 3 years that is maximum of 31 years of age.

Educational qualification:-
The candidates must have post graduation degree in biotechnology or other related courses such as life science, bioscience, zoology, microbiology, biochemistry and biophysics.

Marks:-
The candidates must have minimum 60% of marks for general, EWS and OBC category. For SC / ST / PWD candidates there must be a minimum of 55% of marks.

Qualification:
••• MSc/M.Tech/M.V.Sc. aur equivalent degree / integrated BS MS/B.E./.BTech in any discipline of biotechnology / bioinformatics/ computational biology, students admitted under DBT spotted postgraduate teaching programs. Life science/bio science / zoology / botany / microbiology / biochemistry / biophysics and Masters in allied areas of Biology / life sciences.


Marks-
•••• minimum 60% marks for general / OBC/EWS and OBC category and 55% for schedule caste / schedule tribe / differently abled in aggregate.


Age limit-
•••• Upto 28 years as on the last date of application for general and EWS category. Age relaxation of 5 years is given to reserved category candidates and 3 years to OBC candidates.

Eligibility to apply for DBT Junior Research Fellowship 2020 are as mentioned below:-
Applicant must have M.Sc/ M.Tech/ M.V.Sc or equivalent degree.
Applicant must have M.Sc in Life Science/ Bio-science/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Bio-chemistry/ Bio-physics and Masters in Allied areas of Biology/ Life Science.
Applicant must have M.Tech Bio-informatics/ Computation Biology under DBT supported Postgraduate Teaching Program.
Applicant must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ST/PH) or equivalent grades in qualifying examinations.
Applicant must be below 28 years of age as on the last date of application.
